I received the 6 piece base unit a few days before this arrived and my 10 month old fussed whenever I put him in it- there was not as much room as I had hoped. Then we received the extentions- the amount of room it added was amazing!

He happily plays in it, and I can get in, too!

The extension is nice, but it was hard to add. You have to twist the gate in a weird way and the knobs were hard to twist. The extra space is nice.

If you are going to purchase this you might as well get a second play yard…I did not notice a huge difference with this…I do not believe it is as much square feet as they say….hmmm

Pros: It attaches to the rear view mirror easily and is not bulky. The fit on the rear view mirror is adjustable for different sized mirrors and is a tight, secure fit.

Cons:

The mirror is too small and not clear enough. Only gives enough view to see the face of my toddler and it is not a clear view at that; looks distorted.

Vibrations from the automobile cause the mirror to constantly vibrate.

Gets in the way when using the passenger visor. Knocks it out of whack, which requires it to be readjusted.

I would not purchase this again. I got it on sale and still feel that way.

Item looks nice, but lasted less than 24 hours. I cleaned the marble surfaces it would adhere to with alcohol, but no luck, one of the stickers came loose the next day. My view is that the main problem with this unit is that even when properly installed, the child can burn his her hand by reaching up through the wires on a gas range.

This product did not work. We used installed as directed and initially thought it would be a great product. We were very disappointed when the stoppers started falling off of the stove and onto the floor…now we have to replace this poor product with the clear knobs. We should have gotten those in the first place.

The first day we brought these home my 10 month old figured out how to get these off of the outlets. Even though it was adorable to see him laugh and giggle about figuring this out, it is a choking hazard. I have changed back to the old fashioned outlet covers.

When my 8 month old started to crawl he went right over to these and plucked them out of the wall. However, if your baby doesn’t pull them out, they really are easier on fingers when removing them.

If you purchase these, you might want to purchase locally in case you need to return them. I have seen raving reviews, but I just do not see why.

These plugs just slip in to the socket and there is nothing to keep them in there like the “dual release” plugs (which we have and work). Another option is to get the plate covers.

These plugs are marketed for adults. Even on the front of the box it notes “push to pop out – save your nails” and “clip to vacuum cord when cleaning – never lose it again”. You will not break your nails on these plugs because they come out fairly easily – you do not even need to push their tiny button. My 10 month old twins can wiggle these out – and they did not even see me install/remove them. So, you still have the electrical hazard as well as a choking hazard.

I do not advocate this product based on my personal experience.

I will add that I shared my sentiments with Safety 1st and they did contact me to try to resolve my dissatisfaction.
