If you are continuing to torture yourself and child with an old fashioned bulb suction stop now and purchase this device. This helps your new born breathe and sleep superior in less time than it takes to clean one nostril with a squeeze bulb. This is my first review with my first child and I advocate this and wish I had seen it sooner. It would have been more rest for the baby and more peace of mind for us parents.

You want me to put it WHERE? And do WHAT?!? (I’m so glad I did), February 14, 2011

Like most other parents who use this thing, I was a little taken aback at the idea. Really? Sucking the snot out? After childbirth, it seemed I’d paid my dues on the ick factor. Thankfully I was humble enough to believe others knew something I didn’t.

I’d tried using the utterly useless bulb syringe on my infant’s tiny, little nose, but–just as with my first baby–I was astonished we have continued to pass these out to parents for so many years. Even the smaller ones designed to be more user-friendly were still absolutely ineffective. And each parent knows the misery of comforting a little baby who simply cannot breathe while she tries to nurse. It’s pitiful.

Enter the Nosefrida. The tip is designed in such a way that it would be impossible to push it too far into the baby’s nostril even if she jerks suddenly and forcefully, and it absolutely covers the nostril opening, allowing for a great suction. And here is my reassurance to those of you still a bit squeamish: if you hooked this thing up to a Dyson vacuum cleaner, you still would not be able to get baby snot up near the filter, let alone into the tube leading to the mouthpiece. Instead of the usual squirming and fighting, my baby actually seemed bemused by the whole thing. And here is the ideal part–it works EXPONENTIALLY superior than any other product I have ever tried on either of my children.

Here are some tips that I have figured out after trial & error:

1) If possible, have the baby’s head upright. Gravity is your friend.

2) If the mucous is thick, place a few drops of sterile saline into the nose for a minute. It helps loosen things up, even though your baby will not be amused.

3) If your baby is still enough to grant you to do this, angle the tip just slightly toward the ear, rather than straight up the nose. Took me a while to figure out that since the sinuses are slightly off to the side, this would get much superior results.

4) Use several shorter inhalations to clear the nose rather than one major attempt. That seems to work more effectively and upset the babies a bit less.

I’ve already purchased several of these for friends, and each one of them, after asking if I was joking, has come to declare this one of the ideal baby products they have ever used. Undoubtedly, the Nosefrida would be one of my top 10 baby supplies on the Stranded on a Desert Island List.

Works but my baby is not a fan, May 11, 2010

I have to state that this works 100x superior than a bulb sucker. It would be prefect if my kid did not hate it so much, but I do not know that anyone has a product that will fix that. I have found that short, quick, successive sucks work superior for us most of the time and seem to bother him less. The Nosefrida only does about 85% of the job though. After I have the booger to the edge of his nostril I usually have to use a tissue to finish the job.

Bottom line, nose cleaning can be unpleasant, but at least I actually getting his nose clean with this rather than just torturing him with a bulb sucker.

Perfect, August 15, 2005

I LOVE this oil. I was using an almond based massage oil for my son but I will never go back after using this. The pump dispenser gives great control over the amount of oil dispensed, which is great since too many times I have “over-greased” my poor son because I put too much oil into my hands. Also, this oil dries down to a very nice level so there is no greasy feeling when the massage is over. Finally, it smells awesome! We love it in our house.

The absolute BEST Baby Massage oil!, December 7, 2005

I can’t stress how great this stuff is – it’s just perfect. Smells very nice and light but most importantly it’s not greasy in the slightest (I did not know you could even purchase an oil that is not greay but it’s not). Basically this massage oil gets absorbed into baby’s skin and leaves them feeling soft and silky not slippery, gooey or greasy just perfect. My son is 21 months now I he still adores when I give him a tiny baby massage on his back or legs or arms, he just lays there happy as a clam and absolutely relaxed. Hubby and I have been doing baby massage on him since he was a newborn preemie and have LOVED using this massage oil. It also lasts a very long time, we still have the same bottle!

My baby girl was allergic to Johnson and Johnson baby oil. I purchased this Mustela massage oil and it was so good. It had a wonderful scent and it did not irritate the skin. Ideal purchase so far. I purchased a few extra bottles in case they are discontinue for some reason.

Leaky, not for long-term storage., February 15, 2007

I used these with my first child to freeze homemade baby food. They are good for the actual freezing process, and do help standardize portion size. However, despite the promise on the packaging that they are dishwasher safe, cubes that went through the dishwasher warped so that the caps would no longer stay shut. The ones we washed only by hand would stay shut, but were still not air-tight, and would leak liquids if they tipped over.

So my advice if you purchase these cubes: wash them by hand, and plan to pop food out of the cubes, once frozen, out to store for longer periods in a good quality freezer bag.

Love these!, January 18, 2007

I just began making my own baby food, and I love these baby cubes! Food easily comes out if you want to store in a freezer bag, in convenient tiny 1 ounce cubes! Plus, you can feed right from the cube. Pop into fridge, thaw and you are ready to go! I want more!

horrible and misleading, June 11, 2009

there is only one set. and the containers are absolutely impractical. hard to open, hard to close and very inexpensively made.also too small of a portion even for a baby. i just store food in a tiny more massive batches in a tupperware container in the freezer.

I have been using this wash since it came out – probably 2 or 3 years! My children love it, it smells good (i do not think it is overly powerful unless you use way too much), and it makes a great, tear-free bubble bath.

I can comprehend why you would not like it if it gave your child a rash, but that is not the product’s fault. Some people are just sensitive to its ingredients.

I love this stuff, it makes the whole lavatory and the children hair smell great! My two daughters also seem to like this also. IT does have some soothing effects. If I took a bath with this I bet it’d help me fall asleep too!

This really works!, September 13, 2011

I am a first time Mother and recently learned the importance of a bedtime routine to help get your baby ready for bed. I bought this bedtime bath along with the bedtime lotion and it definitely gets my son ready for bed. I have seen a real difference with the ease of going to sleep. This is a must have!!
